Why Can’t Nancy Pelosi Keep Her Members in Line?

House Democrats are in complete disarray and Speaker Pelosi is struggling to keep her members from jumping ship. For the second time this month Democrats lost a Motion to Recommit on the House floor, allowing Republicans to add language to a bill that would require ICE to be notified when an illegal immigrant attempts to purchase a firearm. As a result House Republicans scored a victory.

WOW … Another huge floor embarrassment for Democrats: House Republicans are about to win yet another motion to recommit. This time on gun legislation.

Sure looks like Republicans are about to pick up another motion to Recommit. 218 on the board on HR8, to add provision notifying ICE when illegal immigrant tries to buy a gun.

Surprising development out of the House. Dems are moving a bill to expand background checks for gun buyers. Republicans proposed to send the bill back to add language targeting undocumented immigrants.
