America Rising To “Name & Shame” UnDemocratic Superdelegates During Roll Call Vote

As a deeply divided Democratic National Convention continues to debate the undemocratic superdelegate process, which enables party elites to defy the will of voters in their states, America Rising will ensure that all convention-goers know exactly which superdelegates from states that Bernie Sanders won are backing Hillary Clinton anyway, or are unaligned.

As each Sanders state is called during Tuesday’s roll call vote, America Rising will tweet  graphics calling out the pro-Clinton superdelegates from that state. The graphics include a total of 155 superdelegates from 21 states – Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming – and Democrats living abroad, a group Sanders won.

America Rising has also updated its mobile tracking app, GRILL, to enable convention attendees to put superdelegates in the hot seat with questions like, “Do you agree that the system was always rigged against Bernie Sanders?”
