April Jobs Report ‘Far Below Expectations’ Amid Joe Biden’s Disastrous Economic Policies

The U.S. economy added 266,000 jobs last month, a huge letdown from the 1 million jobs economists were originally predicting. The unemployment rate also increased to 6.1 percent.

It looks like it was a big disappointment at 266…”

“We’ve heard from employers that a big problem is they can’t find the workers to hire, especially in manufacturing and also in the restaurant industry…they’re afraid of the virus, the kids aren’t in school, they’re getting unemployment benefits until September.”

“We’re seeing a lot of losses. Transportation and warehousing [jobs] down…manufacturing down…retail down…professional and business services decrease…The average hourly wages rose .3% over the past 12 months. That is not keeping up with the pace of inflation.”

According to one New York City restaurant owner who is struggling to find new hires as COVID restrictions ease up, the reason so many Americans are jobless is because President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill has allowed workers to make more money on unemployment.

Pair that with the U.S.’s current inflation risk and Biden’s tax hikes that are set to crush more jobs and cripple the economy, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Whitney Robertson, Deputy Press Secretary at America Rising PAC: “Today’s jobs report, coupled with the downward revision of last month’s, demonstrates the real-life consequences of Joe Biden’s devastating policies. He wants to raise taxes as the country recovers from a pandemic, and he has shown no sign of wanting to wind down expanded unemployment benefits that disincentivize people from returning to the job market to take one of the millions of open jobs.”
