AR GRAPHIC: Privileged Patrick’s Poor Adventure

America Rising PAC is releasing a comic strip-style graphic to tell the real story of Florida senate candidate Patrick Murphy’s botched and disingenuous attempt at participating in SEIU’s “Minimum Wage Challenge.”

The comic, titled “Privilaged Patrick’s Poor Adventure” imagines some of Murphy’s thoughts as he went through the motions of his proletariat photo op.

On Wednesday, March 2nd, Patrick Murphy announced via Twitter he was participating in SEIU’s “Minimum Wage Challenge,” during which he would live on the equivalent of a minimum wage salary for 5 days. Murphy, who is single, noted that his daily budget would be $17.00.

On Thursday, March 3rd, Murphy tweeted a photo of himself taking the Washington, D.C. metro. Not pictured was the plane Murphy took to a Tampa fundraiser that evening, as reported by The Hill.

On Friday, March 4th, Murphy tweeted a photo of himself buying peanut butter and jelly at a CVS pharmacy in Washington. It’s unclear when the photo was taken, as Murphy remained in Florida that day, attending an event at a St. Petersburg yacht club where he faced questions about the $200,000 his father has poured into his Super PAC.

On Saturday, March 5th, Murphy’s minimum wage-friendly activity of the day was not seeing a movie at a movie theater.

On Sunday, March 6th, Murphy tweeted his “wrap up” video, hours after attending another fundraiser at a home on a Palm Beach golf course.

Quite the adventure indeed for Privileged Patrick Murphy.
