Barbara Boxer Tried To Dismiss Clinton’s Email Scandal, Dismissed Her Credibility Instead
Last year, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) told the American people that they were wrong to care so greatly about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server to conduct State Department business. In fact, Boxer said it was “sad” for someone to think that Clinton did anything wrong:
“‘Either you’re going to listen to her and believe her that, in fact, she complied with the spirit and the letter of the law or you’re not going to trust anything she says,’ she told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell during an interview. ‘All of this is politics. I think it is sad.’”
Boxer’s comment was out-of-touch at the time, and today it looks even worse. Obviously, FBI Director James Comey did not feel like the FBI’s investigation was just “politics.” Director Comey’s statement that Clinton was “extremely careless” in handling classified information as Secretary of State proves that Boxer put partisan politics over America’s national security.
