Biden Administration Dodges Critical Issues Rather Than Proposing Solutions

Today marks the beginning of week two for the Biden administration, and so far the American people have more “dodges, ducks, dips” and “dives” than answers. Throughout their first week in office, White House officials have avoided giving straight answers on numerous policy issues, including their vaccine timeline and President Biden’s health care agenda.

Here’s a quick recap of the questions the Biden administration has avoided answering:

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodges a question about the Chinese Communist Party’s genocide against uighur muslims.

“I know [our secretary of State] will be reviewing a number of the decisions and assessments that have been made.”

HHS secretary nominee Xavier Becerra dodges a question from CNN on the Biden administration’s vaccine timeline.

“I first have to be sworn in to give you a timeline.” Where have we heard that before?

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodges on President Biden’s opinion about maintaining the filibuster.

“We’re not going to take tools off the table…”

White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain dodges a question on President Biden’s health care agenda.

“I’m not going to get into our strategy on that yet.”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodges on President Biden’s hypocrisy regarding his federal mask mandate.

“I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time.”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodges on President Biden’s position on the Hyde Amendment and the Mexico City policy.

“I will just take the opportunity to remind all of you that he is a devout Catholic…”

Bottom line: Despite pledging to run a transparent administration, Joe Biden has barely interacted directly with the press and his spokeswoman refuses to address serious issues faced by the American people.
