Booker’s Secret $$$
On the heels of news last week that Cory Booker is getting paid $1-$5 million to hold an honorary position with a social network that has as many visitors as your grandma’s mah jong meet-up, the New York Post has news of some more fishy financing.
Booker has been receiving “confidential” annual payouts from his former law-firm as part of a severance package. The details are sketchy as Booker has not released his tax returns as he demanded opponents do during past mayor’s races.
During Booker’s tenure as mayor, the firm that has been paying him has received nearly $2 million in legal fees from the Newark Housing Authority, Newark Watershed, and a local wastewater agency.
