Chuck Todd: Hillary Clinton Was “Dragged” By Environmentalist To Her Position On The Keystone Pipeline
On Friday, President Obama announced he would be rejecting the planned construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton spent much of her summer dodging on the issue of Keystone, which would have created 42,100 jobs.
Eventually, Clinton opposed the Keystone Pipeline, though today NBC’s Chuck Todd accused her of being “dragged” to her final position by environmentalist like Tom Steyer.
Todd pointed out that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) would jump during tonight’s South Carolina forum.
Sen. Sanders has opposed the development of the Keystone Pipeline since its inception along with several other key issues to Progressives. While Hillary Clinton on the other hand has developed these Progressive views out of political convenience to protect her left flank from Sen. Sanders.
