Clinton’s New Ad Highlights Her Own Foreign Policy Shortcomings
Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a new ad this morning called “Secure.” The ad is an attempt to play up Clinton’s foreign policy bona fides, but the attempt backfires by highlighting her failed record and poor judgment as Secretary of State.
Nothing could have made that poor judgment clearer than Saturday night’s debate in which Clinton declared we’re “where we need to be” in combating ISIS. This comment comes on the heels of the Paris and San Bernardino terrorist attacks, each carried out by individuals dedicated to ISIS.
Clinton doubled down on her support for President Obama’s failed strategy to combat ISIS on Saturday night as well, following up on comments she made earlier this month that Obama’s plan is “close to mine.”
Fifty-seven percent of Americans disapprove of President Obama’s handling of foreign policy. As his chief foreign policy architect and with no new ideas, Secretary Clinton will only be a continuation of these failed policies that have allowed terrorism to grow and made us less secure.
