Clinton’s “Consumer” Op-ed Overlooks Major Industries Bankrolling Her Campaign
Hillary Clinton penned an op-ed in Quartz yesterday in which she attempted to appeal to the Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic Party by attacking various consumer industries. The op-ed, titled, “Being pro-business doesn’t mean hanging consumers out to dry,” goes after the pharmaceutical, cable/internet, and airline industries.
The only problem? These industries are helping to bankroll Clinton’s campaign. In the third quarter alone, Clinton has accepted thousands of dollars in donations from individuals in these industries.
