Clinton’s Sarcastic Response To Her Paid Speech Transcripts
On the debate stage Thursday night, Secretary Clinton said she would “look into” releasing the transcripts of her paid speeches for which she accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Then on Friday morning, Clinton adviser Joel Benenson said, “I don’t think voters are interested in the transcripts of her speeches.”
So by Sunday morning, when asked by ABC News’ George Stephanapoulos if she would disclose what she said in those speeches, Clinton sarcastically replied:
“Yeah, you know, here’s another thing I want to say: let everybody who’s ever given a speech to any private group under any circumstances release them – we’ll all release them at the same time.”
Apparently someone got to Clinton between her pledge to “look into” releasing the transcripts and her new approach to mock those asking for their release.
