May 21, 2019Freshman Democrats Gil Cisneros (CA- 39) and Elissa Slotkin (MI-08) were recently asked if their fellow freshman Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib should be reprimanded for their anti-Semetic remarks. Both refused to answer the question:
AMERICA RISING: “Excuse me, Congressman.”
CISNEROS: “Yes?”
AMERICA RISING: “Given the recent anti-Semitic comments, do you think Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib should be reprimanded or censured?”
AMERICA RISING: “Quick question for you. Do you think that due to the recent anti-Semitic, you know tweets, sayings from Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar that they should be censured or reprimanded in any way?”
Both Omar and Tlaib have been condemned for promoting anti-Semitism and accusing Jewish members of Congress of having dual loyalties to Israel. Cisneros and Slotkin join the growing list of Democrats who refuse to stand up to the hateful rhetoric espoused by the far-left of their own party.
