While House Democrats continue to pursue their partisan effort to impeach President Trump, reports from over the weekend revealed that Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador had a letter hand-delivered to Chairman Richard Neal which urged Congress to approve the USMCA.

Fox News: “Mexico ratified USMCA on June 19th. The trade agreement has moved its way through the Canadian process. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada will ratify USMCA when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brings it up for a vote. Trudeau last summer made personal calls and visits to Speaker Pelosi to alleviate her fears about worker protections in the deal.”

Rather than approve a trade deal that would supercharge the economy, Speaker Pelosi is choosing to hold American workers hostage. House Democrats are spending yet another week hauling in witnesses for their baseless impeachment inquiry as the number of session days in 2019 continues to narrow.

According to the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), the USMCA would raise U.S. real GDP by $68.2 billion and create 176,000 jobs. The Democrats’ obsession with impeachment is suffocating economic growth and preventing Americans from reaping the benefits of the most historic trade deal in a generation.
