DNC Chairwoman Wants Taxpayers To Foot Convention Bill
On Friday, the Congressional Budget Office revealed that DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has proposed using $20 million in taxpayer funds to help pay for the Democrat Party’s nominating convention. The DNC is apparently so desperate for more money after reporting it had just $4.7 million in cash on hand as of October 31, that it wants taxpayers to foot the bill.
Last year Congress decided that political parties didn’t need taxpayer funding for their conventions and instead called for the money to be used to pay for research on children’s diseases at the National Institutes of Health. Wasserman Schultz wants that money back.
