Don’t Be Fooled: The Clintons Want To Wage A War On Coal
During a campaign event in Worcester, Massachusetts last night, Bill Clinton pointed out how West Virginia has the second worst economy in America. The former President was attempting to explain how Hillary Clinton’s economic policies would help struggling states like West Virginia.
Bill Clinton said of the economy, “We don’t do enough to help places that aren’t as well positioned as Worcester, make changes when they lose the jobs that were and can’t get the jobs that will be.”
It is worth nothing that West Virginia is the second largest coal producing state in America, and throughout the course of Hillary Clinton’s campaign, she has waged a war on coal.
Clinton’s anti-coal message started at an “Environmentalists For Hillary” event in Nashua, NH where Clinton said, “I also want to say a special word about coal. We have to move away from coal. Everybody understands that, there is no doubt about it.”
Then Clinton proposed a $30 billion plan to end coal.
Meanwhile pundits like CNBC’s Jim Cramer have said that if Hillary Clinton were elected, it would be the end of coal production in the United States.
With a position on coal equivalent to a death sentence, it is hardly surprising that Hillary Clinton finds herself trailing Bernie Sanders by 28 points in West Virginia.
