It’s been established that Democrats like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Cory Booker are going to throw their hat in the ring for a 2020 Presidential bid, but plenty of other Democrats are also exploring their options. According to NBC News:

“Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., who has made a number of recent trips to early presidential primary and caucus states, is hiring staff in Iowa and New Hampshire to help candidates running in this year’s midterm election.”

The former Governor of Virginia, Terry McAuliffe, also isn’t ruling out a run:

“McAuliffe, who is currently in Iowa campaigning on behalf of local Democratic candidates, said he is currently focused on the 2018 midterm elections but will make a decision about his future plans after November, The Associated Press reported.”

The number of Democrats looking to run in an already crowded field continues to grow.
