Education Secretary Cardona Played Major Role in NSBA Letter Comparing Parents to Domestic Terrorists

The Biden Administration’s war against parents is coming from the highest ranks of the administration. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona played a significant role in the NSBA’s letter comparing parents to domestic terrorists for protesting for the right to be a part of their children’s education.

As a result of the NSBA letter, the Department of Justice created their own memo that directed the FBI to mobilize in support of local education officials. Attorney General Merrick Garland pointed to the NSBA letter as a reason he mobilized the FBI and US Attorneys across the nation. Now, we know that Education Secretary Cardona told the interim CEO of the NSBA to write such a letter condemning parents as domestic terrorists.

Fox News: In the Oct. 5 email, NSBA Secretary-Treasurer Kristi Swett recounted that NSBA interim CEO Chip Slaven “told the officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona.”

As a result of the original letter, the NSBA has seen dozens of its state chapters end their memberships with the national organization. The declining membership has caused not only a cash crunch, but rapidly deteriorating organizational influence.

As the NSBA loses funding and influence for their part in labeling concerned parents as domestic terrorists, it’s important to hold Secretary Cardona accountable for what the administration attempted to do to parents simply for wanting a say in their child’s education.
