Frank Biden Already Cashing in on His Brother’s New Job

According to a report from CNBC, Joe Biden’s brother, Frank Biden, flaunted his relationship with the president in an ad for the law firm he advises that ran on Inauguration Day.

“The ad and Biden himself highlight the relationship to his brother, who is now the president, as a reason to work with the firm.

“‘The two Biden brothers have long held a commitment to pushing environmental issues to the forefront; the president-elect has vowed to rejoin the Paris Agreement and wants to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets, for example,’ the ad in the paper says.” –CNBC

This isn’t the first time Frank Biden has used his last name for business gains. One year ago, ABC News released a report detailing ways Frank invoked the family name to land charter school contracts in his home state of Florida.

ABC News: “In media interviews at the time, Frank Biden was unabashed – calling his last name ‘a tremendous asset’ because of the family’s record of ‘taking care of people who need help,’ and telling people it brought him ‘automatic acceptance’ as he sought government approvals for the for-profit Mavericks in Education.”

Flaunting relationships with President Biden to advance business schemes seems to be a family affair. President Biden’s son, Hunter, offered access to his father while conducting shady, foreign business deals in both China and Ukraine. And President Biden’s other brother, James, found himself embroiled in scandal after being accused of “trading on Joe’s clout to advance his business ventures.”

This pattern traces back all the way to 2006 when Joe Biden was a senator, and Hunter and James decided to buy out a firm and fire it’s existing president to start their own family business.

“‘Don’t worry about investors,’ [James] said, according to the executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing fear of retaliation. ‘We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.’

“According to the executive, James Biden made it clear he viewed the fund as a way to take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money to his older brother or his campaign account.” – Politico

Bottom line: Members of the Biden family are notorious for using their last name for personal profit, and this presents a serious problem for an administration who has constantly preached about its supposedly strict ethical priorities. We’ve seen this story repeat itself for forty years, and it’s clear President Biden will not step in to prevent his name from being peddled for his family’s gain.
