Happy Birthday, Jason Kander (D-Kansas?)
As Missouri senate candidate and D.C. insider Jason Kander celebrates his birthday today, what better time to look back at where the supposed “fifth generation Missourian” spent most of his life…in Kansas.
At a March 2015 event in Warrensburg, Kander touted his Missouri roots, telling Democrat Party activists, “I’m a fifth generation Missourian, and I promise I will never forget where I came from.”
Ironically, Kander’s claim to be a native Missourian is proof that he HAS, in fact, forgotten where he came from – the great State of Kansas.
Kander was born in Overland Park, Kansas and lived in the state until he graduated from a private high school in Shawnee, Kansas in 1999. Then he moved to Washington, D.C. for college and law school, but still kept his Kansas roots strong on Election Days, voting in three elections from 2000 to 2002:
And a year later, love was in the air for Kander…in Kansas, where he got his marriage license in 2003:
To summarize, native Kansan and part-time Washingtonian Jason Kander moved to Missouri for a few years so he could put himself place to run for office and get a ticket back to Washington, D.C. If Kander keeps misleading Missouri voters, he may get to spend some more time in the Show Me State than he had planned to come November.
