Here’s the Truth About Today’s Impeachment Hearings

House Democrats have been obsessed with impeaching President Trump since the day he was elected. After they spent weeks conducting a secretive impeachment inquiry behind closed doors, today the American people will finally have an opportunity to see this sham process with their own eyes.

Remember: Prior to voting on the impeachment resolution, House Democratic leadership repeatedly emphasized the importance of having bipartisan support before moving forward with impeachment.

Nancy Pelosi: “Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

Adam Schiff: “If the evidence isn’t sufficient to win bipartisan support for this, putting the country through a failed impeachment isn’t a good idea.”

Jerry Nadler on Pelosi: “She laid down a number of conditions — it has got to be bipartisan, the evidence has to be overwhelming — which is what I’ve been saying.”

On the contrary, zero Republicans voted in favor of the impeachment resolution and two Democrats joined them in opposition. The Democrats even issued statements citing the overtly partisan nature of the impeachment process as reasons for breaking with their party.

As impeachment quickly became Nancy Pelosi’s entire agenda, the USMCA has yet to be approved, no progress has been made in lowering prescription drug prices, and Congress still has to pass a short-term spending bill to avoid a government shutdown on November 21.

Democrat Rep. Al Green revealed his party’s true motivations when he stated, “I’m concerned if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected.”
