HillaryCare, Like ObamaCare, Also Had A Job-Killing 30-Hour Work Week

Earlier this week, the House of Representatives voted to pass the Save American Workers Act, which would eliminate ObamaCare’s definition of full-time workers at 30 hours per week.

Hillary Clinton’s failed 1993 health care reform push also had an employer mandate for “qualifying employees” that worked 120 hours per month, or 30 hours per week on average:

This is just the latest example of how Hillary, the “Mother Of ObamaCare,” laid the foundation for ObamaCare.

Some of the Democrats’ biggest allies in organized labor have bashed the 30-hour workweek classification. UNITE HERE has labeled it one of the law’s “perverse incentives” that is creating “Part-Time America.” The Teamsters Jimmy Hoffa says it will “destroy the foundation of the 40-hour work week.” AFL-CIO’s Richard Trumka says the provision is leading to workers’ hours being cut and called for its removal.
