ICYMI: Biden’s ‘Top Energy Regulator’ Directly Connected to Offshore Wind Farm Project

Joe Biden’s green energy swamp continues to deepen as a report from the Washington Free Beacon reveals a key administration official has lobbying ties to an offshore wind farm project that was backed by Biden and Kamala Harris earlier this month.

Richard Glick, who Biden tapped to chair the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission shortly after his inauguration, served as the head lobbyist for Avangrid Renewables from 2001 to 2016.

According to the report, Avangrid holds a 50 percent stake in Vineyard Wind, “which is set to become the country’s first large-scale offshore wind farm after the Biden administration approved the project on May 11.”

Washington Free Beacon: “Glick’s elevation to chairman comes as a boon to Avangrid and other renewable power companies. The role grants Glick the authority to prioritize environmental projects that bolster the White House’s green energy push and potentially enrich his former clients.”

Glick is not the only Biden administration official with direct ties to energy companies that have been promoted as a result of Biden’s green energy agenda.

White House Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm owns up to $5 million in vested stock options in Proterra and served on its board of directors while the White House held back-to-back events linked to the company.

Democrat insiders who helped raise millions of dollars for the Biden campaign also hold significant financial stake in Proterra, and the company recently hired two Obama-Biden officials to lobby the current administration.

Whitney Robertson, Deputy Press Secretary at America Rising PAC: “The slew of links between the Biden-Harris administration and the green energy companies they’re publicly promoting is disturbing to say the least. The administration’s green energy agenda is financially lucrative for its closest allies.”
