Iowa Democrat Praises ObamaCare Despite Its Devastating Impact On Iowans
Today in an editorial board meeting with the Des Moines Register, Jim Mowrer praised ObamaCare despite the multitude of problems it is causing for Iowans. Mowrer said, “I think we have done very well [with the ObamaCare exchanges] considering we have people who are actively sabotaging it.”
The impact of ObamaCare has been devastating to Iowa families. Just last month, UnitedHealthcare announced that it would no longer sell individual health insurance policies in the state, leaving 9,000 Iowans forced to find a new policy. Last year, Co-Opportunity, a co-op insurance program which covered nearly 120,000 Iowans and Nebraskans, collapsed because of financial troubles.
While ObamaCare continues to disrupt and limit Iowans’ health insurance choices, Mowrer just continues to repeat his liberal talking points and claims things are going “very well.”
