It’s Happening Again

A year ago Hillary Clinton was destined to be the Democratic Party’s nominee for President, a February 26, 2015 Quinnipiac University poll had Clinton leading with 61 percent of the vote in Iowa. Clinton’s primary rivals were Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Vice President Joe Biden. No other candidate topped 5 percent.

Now on the day of the Iowa caucuses, a Quinnipiac University poll shows Hillary Clinton trailing Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders by three points. This is the third straight Q-Poll that has Sanders leading in the Hawkeye State.

This poll is even more troubling for Clinton because it was in the field after news broke that 22 of Clinton’s emails were not going to be released by the State Department because they were deemed “top secret.”

Today, during an interview on CNN’s “New Day” Clinton continued to brush off the email scandal as “nothing new.”

However on “Morning Joe” the panel discussed how Clinton’s email scandal has “too much buzz around it” and that it isn’t going away anytime soon.

CNN’s Jeff Zeleney interviewed a woman who supported Clinton in 2008 but now finds herself supporting Sanders.

NBC’s Savannah Guthrie said, “I was thinking Hillary Clinton wakes up in Iowa, it’s like 2008 all over again, and not in a good way.”

Even worse for Hillary Clinton is that hardly anyone on “Morning Joe” thinks Hillary Clinton can win the Iowa caucus.

Without a doubt Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server has impacted her negatively, causing her to go from inevitable to someone who is fighting for her political life. The mere fact that this conversation is even happening is a testament to how untrustworthy the American people find Hillary Clinton.
