Joe Biden Is Fundraising For Michelle Nunn During Crimean Crisis
Russian troops have occupied the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine, and diplomats from across the globe are working to ease tensions and force a Russian withdrawal from the region. So where is Vice President Biden (who thinks he is “uniquely” positioned to run for president because of his foreign policy experience)? He’s fundraising for Michelle Nunn at an undisclosed location in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tuesday at 1pm, per Biden office: VP “will attend an event for Michelle Nunn at a private residence. This event is closed press.”

Nunn is no stranger to putting politics before national security issues. Last year, during President Obama’s major foreign policy speech on Syria, Nunn was spotted wining and dining with liberal D.C. insiders.
As tensions rise from the standoff in Ukraine, Biden has demonstrated that he’s more interested in helping Michelle Nunn than having a leadership role in finding a diplomatic solution to the brewing crisis in Ukraine.
