Joe Biden Has Created a Trifecta of Crises at the Border

What started out as a border crisis has quickly become a national security, health, and humanitarian crisis. Thanks to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ open borders agenda, thousands of COVID-positive migrants are being released into Texas border communities as the number of migrants coming to the U.S. continues to surge.

Fox News: “The Texas border city of McAllen says more than 7,000 COVID-positive migrants have been released into the city since February, and more than 1,500 in the past week — the latest example of growing concern about the potential impact of the border crisis on efforts to control COVID-19 in the U.S.”

CNN: “Customs and Border Protection apprehended more than 176,000 migrants from July 1-28, according to preliminary data obtained by CNN — marking the highest number of arrests in July since at least 2000.”

In March, Biden tried to write off the influx of migrants at the border as a seasonal event. But six months into his administration, the numbers are proving him to be dead wrong.

Politico: “The number of migrants apprehended at the border isn’t going down this summer, even as the heat makes the journey to the U.S. more dangerous. Instead, it has reached a 21-year high — and there’s a record number of unaccompanied children arriving, too.”

The Biden administration’s ongoing struggle to manage their border crisis comes amid growing criticism from both sides of the aisle, including over the inhumane conditions migrants are facing at U.S. border facilities. One 17-year-old migrant from Guatemala compared the emergency shelter he was placed in to a “cage.”

New York Times: “Alberto described being locked in his two-person room for most of the 40 days he was at Pecos. He said he could not leave on his own. Staff members let him out for meals, modest recreation, English classes and a five-minute phone call every eight days with his aunt, whom he planned to live with when he got to the United States.”
