Joe Biden Prioritizes Opening the Border Over Opening Schools

The Biden administration is set to unveil a new immigration proposal sometime later this week that would virtually open our borders and create a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. However, he has yet to take any decisive action for America’s students by reopening schools.

According to the New York Post, Biden’s immigration legislation will mirror some of the executive actions he signed in January which included halting border wall construction, resuming catch and release, and banning deportations for 100 days.

Fox Business: “’That’s not an immigration strategy,’ [Former Acting Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Mark Morgan] said. ‘That’s an open border strategy, and the cartels and human smugglers are already exploiting that and the numbers are already going up because immigrants are being told the borders on Jan. 20th are going to be open once again.’”

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has yet to pursue a plan of action to get kids back in the classroom, despite health experts confirming it is safe to do so.

The New York Times: “On Tuesday, federal health officials weighed in with a call for returning children to the nation’s classrooms as soon as possible, saying the “preponderance of available evidence” indicates that in-person instruction can be carried out safely as long as mask-wearing and social distancing are maintained.”

Students are suffering from the repercussions of not attending in-person schooling as the Biden administration refuses to answer simple questions about whether or not teachers can get back in the classroom.

President Biden continues to ignore the science and move the goalposts on a timeline for students and teachers being allowed back in school. His administration’s constantly-changing positions and blatantly contradictory statements reveal the truth: Joe Biden is siding with teachers unions over students.
