Joe Garcia Finds Out It’s Not So Easy Signing Up For ObamaCare

On his website, Rep. Joe Garcia (D-FL) touts his work to ensure ObamaCare is “implemented in a smart and effective way”:

“Congressman Garcia is also committed to ensuring that … the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act … is implemented in a smart and effective way. … Congressman Garcia is committed to working with his colleagues on a bipartisan basis to make sure that the law’s implementation best serves the American people and that all Americans have access to high-quality, affordable health care.”

Yesterday however, Politico reported that lawmakers, including Garcia, who are racing to signup for ObamaCare before today’s deadline are being met with website glitches and sticker shock, much like their constituents back home:

In short, the Obamacare experience is the same mixed bag on Capitol Hill as it is across the nation. “It’s been less than perfect. It’s taken a while,” said Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.). “It takes a long time, dropped off, get asked to call back.”

Thanks for the hard work, Congressman.
