John Bel Edwards “Party Bus” Violates Election Rules

A “party bus” chartered by John Bel Edwards’ gubernatorial campaign to bring supporters from an event at a New Orleans nightclub to an early voting location at City Hall was found to be in violation of Louisiana’s election rules.

Election officials asked the driver to move the bus to comply with Louisiana’s election code, which prohibits campaign signage within 600 feet of a polling place, and then sent an officer to move the bus further away as it was still in violation of the rules.
