House Democrats are unlikely to pass a budget this year and the reason is the far-left wing of the party. Progressives such as Reps. Ilhan Omar and Pramila Jayapal, who both sit on the Budget Committee, are commandeering the Democratic caucus with radical policy demands.
Wall Street Journal: “[L]iberal lawmakers were expected to balk at a proposal that doesn’t include left-leaning policies on health care, climate change and lower defense spending, according to lawmakers and aides.”
