Maine Democrat Pleads For Cash In California
Emily Cain, Washington Democrats’ handpicked candidate in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, has taken her talents 3,200 miles away to California in order raise cash for her campaign.
Politico recently reported that Cain attended a Democracy Alliance conference in Santa Monica, CA, where liberal donors and Democratic politicians huddled to devise strategies to tap Hollywood cash for their causes and political candidates.
Cain attended the billionaire confab despite her endorsement by End Citizens United PAC, an organization that is “dedicated to electing members of Congress who will fight to overturn Citizens United and advocate for campaign finance reform to remove ‘dark money’ from our political system.”
Cain’s decision to hobnob with liberal billionaires like George Soros and Tom Steyer for Hollywood money is a sad testament to her desperate campaign. Perhaps Cain’s liberal views and California cash might be better suited for Los Angeles than Maine’s 2nd District.
