Today marked the first time Mark Kelly, Arizona Democratic Senate candidate, was directly asked about the failures of the company he co-founded. He immediately downplayed the companies failures using taxpayer money, failure to bring jobs to the state, and failure to send a single person to space.

World View Enterprises received $15 million from Arizona taxpayers to bring jobs to Pima County. World View Enterprises was not paying Pima County rent and was granted a rent deferral in April 2020. One county supervisor said the deferral came at the expense of small businesses and struggling Arizona taxpayers

In addition, World View Enterprises committed to hiring 400-plus employees, but its 2018 annual report shows they only had 80 full-time employees in Arizona and only 69 in Pima County. World View Enterprises has made repeated claims since 2013 that they would be sending customers into space and have yet to do so. The only thing they’ve attempted to send to space so far – a chicken sandwich.
