Mark Udall Loves Unemployment Insurance, He Just Doesn’t Like To Pay For It

In February, the state of Colorado filed a tax lien against Mark Udall’s campaign for failing to pay all of its unemployment insurance for its employees. When the Senate was voting in January on extending unemployment insurance benefits, Udall claimed that his number one priority was “pursuing policies that create jobs and keep our economic recovery on track.”

“Today’s bipartisan vote reflects a broad understanding that an unemployment benefits extension is important because it keeps families and children out of poverty while supporting job creation and growing Colorado’s economy.”

If unemployment insurance was really a part of Udall’s number one priority, you would think he would make sure his campaign adequately paid it on time – apparently not, though.
