Mitt Romney: Secretary Clinton Has Been “Wrong Time and Time Again” On ISIS & Syria
Mitt Romney, speaking with NBC News this morning, underscored Hillary Clinton’s weaknesses after an underwhelming debate on what has long been touted as her strength, foreign policy. Clinton’s campaign has tried to use her tenure as Secretary of State as an asset, yet as Romney pointed out, Clinton was “wrong over the period when she was Secretary of State” on ISIS.
While answering a question on foreign policy experience, Romney pointed out that Clinton’s experience is “very bad experience.” Romney explained that as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was the leading proponent of the “reset” with Russia. Meanwhile today, Russia is selling advanced missile defense systems to Iran and seizing Ukrainian territory. Even worse, Secretary Clinton called brutal dictator Bashar al-Assad a “reformer.” The latest estimates have his government’s forces responsible for 250,000 deaths during the Syrian Civil War.
As Mitt Romney rightly pointed out, Secretary Clinton represents the foreign policy failures of the Obama Administration, and the only way to get our country back on track is to choose “a new direction” in 2016.
