National Democrats In Recruiting Panic Mode In Nevada

Yesterday, venerable Nevada political reporter Jon Ralston reported that National Democrats’ recruitment woes in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District are continuing. The long list of potential Democrat recruits that have passed on running for the open seat are ex-Secretary of State Ross Miller, state Senate Minority Leader Aaron Ford, ex-water czar Pat Mulroy and community leader Heather Murren.

Clearly in panic mode, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) even sent two of its top staffers to Nevada in a last-ditch attempt to find a suitable candidate, but, as Ralston noted, time is running out. Perhaps Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) was wrong when he said that it’s a good district for Democrats.
