Nevada Democrat Avoids Questions On Guantanamo By Using Cell Phone
Ruben Kihuen, a Nevada Democrat running for U.S. Congress in the state’s 4th District, really doesn’t want to talk about the President’s plan to close Guantanamo Bay and move its prisoners (read: terrorists) to the United States. Last night Kihuen was asked twice if he supported the President’s plan. Clearly not wanting to take a stance on this important issue, Kihuen ignored the question and instead fiddled with his phone.
While most Americans oppose the President’s plan, Democrats like Kihuen are left with a difficult choice between supporting the President and representing the will of their constituents. It appears Kihuen has no interest in doing either.
