Oops! American Bridge Cites Poll Showing Hillary Ratings Upside Down As Sign Of Strength

America Bridge PAC’s “Correct The Record” project put out a response to a story on America Rising and other Republican opposition research efforts to target Hillary Clinton ahead of an expected campaign for the presidency. Bridge cited a November YouGov poll claiming Clinton had sky-high ratings, calling her “the most popular public figure tested.”

However, a look at the actual YouGov poll numbers shows that Clinton’s favorability ratings are underwater for the first time since she stepped down as Secretary of State:

The former Secretary of State’s favorability ratings have eroded among Independents and Republicans since she left Foggy Bottom.

Nearly nine months after leaving office, more Americans have an unfavorable than a favorable opinion of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to a recent YouGov/Economist poll.

Far from a sign of strength, the YouGov polling shows the case against Clinton is resonating with voters, a plurality of which have an unfavorable opinion of her.
