Having Passed Zero Bills, Santarsiero Inexplicably Touts “Record Of Accomplishment”

During the closing moments of the PA-08 Congressional debate, Democrat Steve Santarsiero highlighted what he believes should matter to the voters of that district:

“At the end of the day, what matters, is what we have done. And what our record is of fighting for people in this district. I have that record of accomplishment”

Yet a look at Santarsiero’s record as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he’s been for seven years, shows that a promotion to the United States House of Representatives is certainly not justified by his record in his current job. In fact, of the 54 bills Santarsiero has sponsored in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives exactly zero have become law:

“Despite his efforts, Santarsiero has struggled to pass legislation changing the gun laws in this state – in fact, he has failed in 54 attempts to get any legislation on the books.”

With a failed record like Santarsiero’s it’s an ill-advised political move to brag about a “record of accomplishment.”
