Pelosi’s Primary Problems Continue – This Time In Illinois

House Democrats’ primary struggles are on full display, with more bad news for Nancy Pelosi and the DCCC each week. After last week’s news that Annette Taddeo faces a primary challenge from Andrew Korge in Florida despite the establishment’s efforts to keep him out, Democrats now have to contend with a divisive primary contest in Illinois’ 10th District.

The Chicago Daily Herald reports the endorsement battle is heating up, as Brad Schneider received Nancy Pelosi’s support and Nancy Rotering just received Dick Durbin’s support. Both Democrats are running further and further to the left, as demonstrated by these endorsements from such liberal icons.

Schneider also lost several prominent supporters last fall due to their differences on the Iran deal. Between now and March 15, the divisions between the two campaigns are only going to further divide the Democratic base they will each depend on heavily in November.
