More Polls Means More Bad News For Hillary Clinton

With the Iowa caucus only four days away, new polls released by Monmouth University and NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist brought unwelcome news for Hillary Clinton’s flailing campaign.

The Monmouth poll shows signficiant movement in Iowa from Clinton to Sanders. When Monmouth last polled Iowa, Clinton had a commanding 22 point lead, 55% to 33%. Now that lead is just five points.

Also in Iowa, the NBC/WSJ/Marist poll has Sanders and Clinton well within the margin of error of each other. Clinton only up 3% in their latest poll. Polls like these two are why the Associated Press is writing headlines that say “Clinton fears repeat of 2008 loss” in Iowa, with less than a week to go for the caucus.

The NBC/WSJ/Marist poll also brought troubling news for Clinton in New Hampshire. Earlier this month the poll had Sanders up only 4% in New Hampshire. Now that lead has grown to a gigantic 19 points, 57% to 38%.
