Ripped From The Headlines: DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz “On Thin Ice,” “Toxic”

One of the political casualties in the ongoing war between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders has been DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). While Democrats desperately want to unify, Sanders and his supporters overwhelmingly view Wasserman Schultz as an impediment from that ever happening.

Just today, Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver called for new leadership at the DNC, while Clinton’s chief strategist Joel Benenson did not rule it out.

This week there have also been increasing reports that Capitol Hill Democrats are coming around to the view that the DNC needs new leadership. As The Hill reported yesterday, many Democrats now believe Wasserman Schultz is “too divisive” to unite the party:

“Democrats on Capitol Hill are discussing whether Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz should step down as Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman before the party’s national convention in July. Democrats backing likely presidential nominee Hillary Clinton worry Wasserman Schultz has become too divisive a figure to unify the party in 2016, which they say is crucial to defeating presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in November.”

See below for headlines that testify to the fact that the “knives are out” for DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz:
