Sanders Team Plans Ad Barrage Against Wasserman Schultz
The bad news continues for disgraced former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Following the release of leaked DNC emails, Wasserman Schultz and her staff’s clear involvement in rigging the primaries for Hillary Clinton drew severe criticism from everyone from fervent Bernie Sanders supporters to establishment Democrats like Senator Harry Reid.
The scandal ultimately forced Wasserman Schultz to resign Sunday, but the fallout continued throughout the Democratic National Convention. Politico even described the speech she gave to her own Florida delegation as “bedlam,” with Wasserman Schultz getting booed off the stage.
Today, her insurgent primary challenger Tim Canova, who outraised her in the last quarter, hired three of Sanders’ top media consultants. This means a barrage of ads is headed Wasserman Schultz’s way, likely attacking her for her biased role in the primaries, her payday lending flip flop, and her continued refusal to avoid primary debates.
Wasserman Schultz is in for yet another long month ahead of the August 30 primary.
