Union Workers Remind Clinton: Pipelines = Good Jobs

Tonight at a rally in New York, Secretary Clinton was greeted by signs that read “Pipelines = Good Jobs.” The signs were made by the Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA) – a labor union whose bosses have endorsed Clinton.

That’s an endorsement that should trouble LiUNA’s members however (particularly the ones holding those specific signs) because Clinton strongly opposes good jobs. Back in September 2015, Clinton announced she opposed building the Keystone XL pipeline, which would have created thousands of good paying jobs for hardworking Americans. Months later, when the Obama administration announced it would block the Keystone permit, LiUNA described the decision as “politics at its worst.

The signs at Clinton’s rally must be as deeply embarrassing for the campaign as Clinton’s position is troubling for LiUNA members.
