VIDEO: Red State Dems Running Scared Part Two

Red state Democrats running in 2018 continue to show how nervous they are. Speaking with CNN, Senators Jon Tester (D-MT) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) continued to reach a conciliatory hand out to Donald Trump. Outgoing DSCC Chairman Tester’s comments are especially notable. Now Tester is saying that Donald Trump said things during the campaign that Tester “wholeheartedly agreed with.”

Yet, Tester was saying things diametrically opposed to his current comments during the actual presidential campaign. Speaking with the Independent Record in August, Tester blasted Trump:

“‘I honest to God don’t think he knows agriculture from a stick horse, and that becomes a problem if you’re in rural America,’ said Tester, a farmer from Big Sandy and Democrat in his second term in the U.S. Senate.”

Tester also said that if Trump were elected, considering his campaign rhetoric, the country was very different than the one Tester thought:

“‘If he gets elected, after everything he’s said, it’s a different country than I thought,’ Tester said. For example, Trump condemned a Muslim couple who lost their son in war and who shared their story at the Democratic National Convention.”

Montana voters know a phony when they see one. After Tester’s about face on Trump, he’s about as phony as they come.
