WATCH Retread Ted Proudly Declare He “Ran For Congress Three Times In The 70s”

When you’re already nicknamed “Retread,” gleefully recounting all the times you have run for office in the past is an unwise move, especially with an America Rising tracker lurking.

But that’s precisely what Retread Ted Strickland decided to do after a press conference Wednesday in Dayton, proudly stating that he “ran for Congress three times in the 70s.” He then proceeded to rattle through all his previous bids for office and counted them on his fingers (it took more than one hand).

As a friendly reminder, Strickland’s current Senate bid is his THIRTEENTH run for political office stretching over a course of five decades, having run for Congress in 1976, 1978, 1980, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and for governor in 2006 and 2010.
