#WhatIsAleppo: Obama Has No Plan For Aleppo

In what may be the next “What is Aleppo?” moment, The Daily Beast reported today that President Obama “has no plan to save Aleppo from Putin and Assad”:

U.S. officials are scrambling to find ways to blunt Russian and regime aggression in Syria. But none of the limited set of options currently being crafted would stop the eastern part of the country’s largest city, Aleppo, from falling into the hands of the Bashar al-Assad regime and its Russian allies, two U.S. officials told the Daily Beast.

President Obama stands in good company with his former Secretary of State and foreign policy architect, Hillary Clinton. Just this past August, PolitiFact affirmed that Clinton also does not a have a plan for Syria.

This new report sheds light on the continued failure of the Obama-Clinton foreign policy in Syria. Both Secretary Clinton and President Obama endorsed a “red line” on Syrian chemical weapons use, then backed down in favor of the Russian chemical weapons deal. Now, with over 400,000 dead as a result of the Syrian Civil War, the Syrian people are suffering the consequences of the Clinton-Obama inaction.

Blindly stumbling through a massive humanitarian crisis is no way to lead a country’s foreign policy.
