Zephyr Teachout Dodges Question About Controversial Bill Clinton Meeting

Last Friday, Zephyr Teachout, a candidate for New York’s 19th District, completely dodged a question about the controversial Bill Clinton meeting with Loretta Lynch. Teachout ridiculously claimed that she has not kept up with the story that drove national news for days, but promised to answer the question soon.  Four days later, and it’s been crickets from the Teachout campaign.

Teachout challenged her opponent Andrew Cuomo over corruption issues in 2014. But now that the issue involves Hillary Clinton, she won’t touch it. Teachout’s silence on the controversial meeting between Clinton and Lynch proves she will do or say anything to get elected.

TOM SIPOS: “One thing here, I had a listener call in a few minutes ago and wanted to ask, for me to ask you a question. Something that’s very controversial in the news right now, of course you are an attorney, you teach law at Fordham Law, and this is the issue that has come up in the last what 24 – 36 hours about this meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch about your thoughts about the appropriateness of that where, uh, you know…” TEACHOUT: “I thank the listener for the caller, for the call, but I gotta be totally frank. We had our primary less than 48 hours ago we’ve been wrapping up and had an end of quarter and I have been so focused on the end of the last campaign and starting the new one that I have not looked into really what happened at all. I will look into it and I will answer but I just can’t today.”
