The Democrats’ Dumpster Fire Week Part Deux, A Summary

Democrats across the country continue to struggle as their primary battles split the party apart.

After the DCCC attacked progressive Democratic candidate Laura Moser in Texas, she saw “overwhelming” fundraising numbers to support her campaign. And then yesterday, the Bernie Sanders-allied group Our Revolution endorsed Moser, while criticizing “Washington insiders.”

Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi found herself at odds with the DCCC, her political organization, progressives, and possible 2020 Democratic candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, when she endorsed pro-life Democrat Dan Lipinski’s reelection.

As Democrats continue to fight each other in these primaries, they harm their chances in general elections and of a “Blue wave” in November.
