On the heels of DNC Chair Tom Perez endorsing New York Governor Andrew Cuomo over primary opponent Cynthia Nixon, far-left activists have had a few choice words for the party’s leader:
What @TomPerez did here is SOOOOO shady. It's why people don't trust him.
I counted 12 different times he said he & the DNC would not endorse particular candidates in the primary. He even said it was unethical b/c of how it tipped the scale.
Then he went and endorsed Cuomo. https://t.co/0MkmARR9US

The DNC under @TomPerez continues showing contempt for the people it needs to vote for it: still not even pretending to be neutral in primaries, always endorsing corruption-tainted establishment hacks, insulting the left at every turn https://t.co/fsltwJAyKs

Well this was an odd decision. https://t.co/LX77lyB6nP

DNC chair Tom Perez has decided to put personal ties ahead of his commitment to keeping the DNC “scrupulously neutral” in primary contests.
So what happens if someone Perez knows runs for president in 2020?https://t.co/OpOMJ231v4

Yeah, this is outrageous.
It's hypocritical, and it sends a message to Democratic voters—especially those on the left—that the chair of their party doesn't respect them. @keithellison's right: "be fair to all contestants and let the voters decide."https://t.co/L9pOaCIZ8v

? This is particularly interesting considering when we asked for help for #StaceyAbrams we were given the "we can't get involved in primaries" line. I wonder what the bar is and who decides who meets it???♀️ https://t.co/QtjBXjesOf

Tom, all I can ask is “Why?” Earlier you said the party shouldn’t get involved in primaries. & Keith said the “Party shouldn’t intervene in the primary process” it should “be fair to all…& let the voters decide.” So why alienate progressives, why? https://t.co/tt2HGbJp46

Clearly progressives, including DNC Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison, are not pleased with the Democratic party meddling in the primary once again.
