As the Alabama state Senate is set to vote on pro-life legislation, Doug Jones released a video characterizing pro-life supporters as “extreme” and “callous.”
Yellowhammer News: “‘These Republican legislators, who are overwhelmingly men, are so extreme and so callous that they would support a bill that denies a woman a constitutional right that they have had for decades,’ Jones complained in his Monday video. ‘They would take away that right and make their doctors and healthcare providers criminals.’”
In 2018, 60% of Alabama voters approved a pro-life measure that makes it state policy to “recognize and support the sanctity of unborn life and the rights of unborn children, including the right to life.”
Last week Doug Jones admitted to his longtime client and friend, State Rep. John Rogers, that his remarks regarding abortion were “right.” Rogers’ controversial remarks made headlines after defending abortion stating, “Some children are just unwanted. You either kill them now or you kill them later in the electric chair.”
